Ham, Broccoli & Rice Casserole

Well I’m doing my grocery shopping tomorrow (working up some great deals to share with you when I’m done!) and so I am also planning some menus for the month. (Which I definitely recommend so that you know what you need when you go shopping rather than just grabbing stuff you might not use or lack ingredients when you want to cook!)

Anyway, Thanks to Alyssa at KingdomFirstMom, I have discovered www.supercook.com. I LOVE IT! You can put in what ingredients you have, and find a recipe and it will tell you if you have everything or what you need in order to make it. This will simplify my menu planning so much!  (Although I still love my cookbooks, but would rather not flip through them to find a recipe I could make… if only there was some kind of incredible way to get all those recipes into a single database or something! Someone work on that!)

For example…(since my shopping trip is tomorrow I’m using what we have in the fridge/pantry)… SO I put in eggs, ham, broccoli, rice, squash, and some staples like flour, breadcrumbs etc. It came up with pages of recipes that I could make if I had some more ingredients but there was one I could make with the ingredients I had.

Here’s the recipe I’m making tonight!

A Great Blog

I enjoyed visiting this blog and will continue to do so! I love supporting other blogs by Christian Mommies!

http://quiverfullfamily.com/blog/

She has section where she reviews Christian books (This is my favorite part! Keep this bookmarked, next time you want a good book to read!) She also product reviews, giveaways, tips for living frugally, and other great stuff!  She blogs about Motherhood, Faith, Family/Parenting, Homeschooling and more as she shares a bit of her life with us. Her category on Family Christian Living is especially good!

So if you are interested in any of the above mentioned categories, check it out!

A Cardboard Testimony

This is such a moving and powerful demonstration of God’s Goodness! I’ve heard that many churches have done this during their worship service. It is a little long but just so amazing!
