The Lord gives us guidance and security

As we raise our families, as our children grow up, and as we get older the most important thing, which goes above and beyond all else,  is to keep everyone safe. We would never compromise on our family's safety and security, using the guiding grace of the Lord for counsel.

As John Newton's hymn explains:

"Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come.

'Twas Grace that brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home."

This is another way of noting the importance of the Lord in our everyday lives, and specifically in his protection of us.

A wonderful example of being led home by the Lord is portrayed in the recent Hollywood blockbuster, "Saroo" – the Oscar nominated film which tells the true story of Saroo Brierley who strayed from his family in India when he was 5 years old, was adopted and taken to safety by an Australian family and 25 years later  was able to retrace his steps through Google Earth and reunite with his birth mother and siblings in childhood village. While the Lord is never mentioned in the story, it is clear that He played a role in reuniting this plucky man with his family after all these years.

Family security at home

However, the Lord isn't always enough to keep us safe in our homes, and as such we do also need a little help from a less spiritual and more materialistic source. For general security-related issues as well as in the event in the case of a security crisis, it is vital to have the details of a reliable and trustworthy locksmith.

The Cambridge Dictionary defines a locksmith as a person who repairs and/or makes locks and supplies keys but this professional is actually much much more.
