Here’s my summary of this week’s shopping.

This was 3 stores– Target, Kroger & Walgreens . My total at the end of the day was roughly $20.
Target ($10):

*note on goldfish, I was going to get them just because of the $1 Target Q making them $.79 each. when I got there, there was ONE bag in front, with a $1/2 manu. peelie so the deal was even sweeter!*

Kroger (2 $5 transactions): 4 cat treats, cheese, 6 boxes of Toaster Strudels, 4 country crock tubs, danonimo yogurt (free catalina), 2 Ken’s salad dressing, Rice Quakes, Sour Cream, Fiber 1 bars

Walgreens ($0): 2 creamers, 2 Glade Sense & Sprays, 6 candy bars (to get my total $0)

Grand Total: $20

ok I normally do not buy milk and bread at cvs, b/c they are ridiculously priced but I at the moment, I had rather used ECBs to pay for it and didn’t want to go to another store so I got it all here. Also, one of my ECBs didn’t print (for the children’s tylenol) so I have to go get it next time.

Wow what a week for deals at Walgreens! I haven’t ventured out for any deal shopping in a long time so this was fun I stocked up on baby shampoo and lotion, for sure! Now, I can’t wait for the huggies deal at walgreen’s next week! Oh baby!

*One of my CVS’ keeps screwing up and putting items in bins with signs that say Free After Extra Care Bucks. Two weeks ago, this happened with Hall’s cough drops (that were supposed to be for the next week) This time, it was Zantac (maybe last week?) So I told then that the sign said Free After ECBs and nothing printed, so they printed them. I told them they should probably take the sign down. (For the zantac, I’m also sending in the $5 rebate form, woohoo!)

Lying in bed last night I realized I completely missed a moneymaker opportunity at CVS! The Almay facial bar soap is $.99 and all Almay is BOGO–yesterday I thought, “Hey, i can get 2 free with my $1 coupon!” so I got 12 bars 6 free from the store and 6 free with my $1 coupons….DUH! Why didn’t I just get 6 bars, use all 6 $1 coupons and make $3 off of the ones that were free for the BOGO sale!!! MONEYMAKER! too bad I didn’t realize that in time!

Explanation: Some stores allow you to use 1 coupon per item even if the store sale is Buy one get one free…this is a great way to get cheap items. (Albertson’s BOGO sales!) So basically you are getting 2 for the price one minus the 2 coupons. make sense?
