As you know, I like to support other Christian Mama bloggers! I have come across another one…

Her BLOG is: http://mytake.stayathomemama.info
Her website is: http://www.stayathomemama.info/

She blogs about family, health/nutrition, homeschooling, saving money and yes blogging itself.

Along with that blog, she also has other blogs that focus more on those subjects.
I, of course(!) visited, Trying to save some money, which is one of her blogs, where I learned she also enjoys couponing, CVS & moneysavingmom.com!

She is a Christian mom and wife. I love this particular blog: Teaching Kids about Money. Her and her husband are training their kids to manage finances properly.
Here is what she writes:

They get $1 a week in a “paycheck” for completing their assigned
chores, plus the possibility of a little extra for extras sometimes.
When they get paid, they have envelopes to put 10% in savings and 10%
for tithe. We talk about money stuff, in a good way, around them.

That is just so awesome!

ANYWAY, back to “MYTAKE“…
Along with her Misc Ramblings category, I also love her “Daily Crumbs”…kinda like a devotional, blog-style. In today’s post “Recharging” she discusses Spiritual Discipline…she concludes the post, by quoting this:

Spiritual discipline is necessary for all aspects of life, and
particularly for parenting. The challenge of raising kids demands you
turn to God each day and give Him the best of your time. How else can
you hear His wisdom?

Consistent spiritual discipline prepares you for the challenges of parenting.

WOW!!! How true is that! That is really something I need to take to heart. Sometimes, all I hear is whining, yelling, crying, fighting…it’s hard to hear God and His wisdom when I don’t “recharge.” Spiritual discipline is something I really need right now. (Thanks for posting this very timely devotional today, kgraham!)

We all know that watching other people’s humorous video clips or “vlogs” (=video+blog, for those of you who are not familiar with the term!) can become an addiction…or as this site calls it “viddiction.” At Viddiction Videos, these “vloggers” can upload clips, not only for fun like youtube but here they have a chance to win cash for their video!

They do not have a ton of videos right now, not nearly as much as youtube but I see potential in the site. It could be a great resource for film students or just people wanting to make people laugh. They not only have humorous videos but other categories as well, such as Commercials, Animation, Shorts, Popular Culture, News, Sports etc.

The current competition is “College Video Fever”. College students can submit a video for a chance to win $25 – $500. The video must be one of the following categories:
“Vlogs, sketch comedy, animation, anything you want as long as it has something to do with your learning (or lack of learning) experience.”

My favorite category is the humorous videos–Hey, I like to laugh!
Here is one I enjoyed! Cat with Some Serious Skill (Note: I tried to embed the video but it didn’t work, so there may be something wrong with the video’s embed code on viddiction…)

This one is rather amusing…at least my 4 & 2 year olds thought it was funny! It is anti-climactic but the dog looks rather annoyed, and so it made me laugh…lol: Dog playing with Birds (That is the title, however, I think it is more like the birds are playing with the dog).

She also product reviews, giveaways, tips for living frugally, and other great stuff! She blogs about Motherhood, Faith, Family/Parenting, Homeschooling and more as she shares a bit of her life with us.
I signed up for Izea’s SocialSpark and PayPerPost after hearing about it on Point of View! It is a great way for bloggers to earn money for doing what they already do: BLOG! The speaker on Point of View was discussing how this is a great opportunity for Christians to get out of the workforce, or live on one income. One lady made about $30,000 a year doing this as a stay at home mom.

First, you sign up and get your blog confirmed and approved and all that. Then you can browse a list of opportunities in the “Marketplace.” Here is where advertisers will list different opportunities, some may specify certain things they would like you to include in your blog, and you “take the opportunity” and blog about it. Sometimes they are product reviews, website reviews or just talking about certain subjects. Each post has a certain amount you get paid, starting at $5 and go up from there. You can post 3 times a day but however many days you want.

SocialSpark and PayPerPost are created by Izea. At first, I was confused figuring out the difference between the two. SocialSpark has the same functionality as PayPerPost except the whole thing is wrapped in a social network–so you have a profile as a blogger and advertisers have profiles as well. You can comment on each other and get to know each other’s online life.

So, in the future if you see random blogs about website or products, then you will now know why! I am excited to see what this brings!
